Purging

I am a thrower are you? If it is something that I have moved 10 or more times and have not used it, it more than likely will end up in the garbage can. (This excludes almost all scrapbooking stuff though ; ) ) With Christmas just ending we have an over load of items in the house so little things are just coming up missing. It really clears my mind to do that. *sigh*

How do you deal with it?
  • donate it
  • throw it out
  • garage sale
  • put in the garage/storage area for the next decade

I tend to throw but sometimes with donate if its something in really good condition or very large. Also how do these items affect your carbon imprint. When I think about it that way I seem to donate that day. Have a nice day.

Emma's new Knock Knock joke

Knock, knock

Who's there?

Lettuce.Lettuce who?

Lettuce in, it's cold out here.

HEHE I like that one

Getting ready for the new year

May this work for you

NEW YEAR'S RECIPETake twelve, fine, full-grown months, see that these are thoroughly free from all old memories of bitterness, rancor, hate and jealousy; cleanse them completely from every clinging spite: pick off all specks of pettiness and littleness; in short , see that these months are freed from all the past; have them as fresh and clean as when they first came from the great storehouse of Time.

Cut these months into thirty or thirty-one equal parts. This batch will keep for just one year. Do not attempt to make up the whole batch at one time (so many persons spoil the entire lot in this way), but prepare one day at a time, as follows:

Into each day put twelve parts of faith, eleven of patience, ten of courage, nine of of work (some people omit this ingredient and so spoil the flavor of the rest), eight of hope, seven of fidelity, six of liberality, five of kindness, four of rest (leaving this out is like leaving the oil out of the salad, don't do it), three of prayer, two of meditation, and one well selected resolution. If you have no conscientious scruples, put in about a teaspoonful of good spirits, a dash of fun, a pinch of folly, a sprinkling of play, and a heaping cupful of good humor.

Pour into the whole love ad libitum and mix with a vim. Cook thoroughly in a fervent heat; garnish with a few smiles and a sprig of joy; then serve with quietness, unselfishness, and cheerfulness, and a Happy New Year is certain.

What a wonderful Christmas

We had a great Christmas and Eve this year. We were able to visit with famiy, play games (the girls kicked butt), open some great presents. I really enjoyed the family time this year with the girls able to be in the other room playing with the cousins on not hanging on us in the lull time made it even more enjoyable. Hope you all had a nice holiday as well. Looking forward to the new year.

Counting down to Christmas Day

I finally got the kit to make my count down to Christmas, tree. I am in love with it. It was quite easy Emma helped me with some of the painting on the back and talking my ear off while I decorated it. I would say it cost me with all supplies somewhere between $15 and $20

Here a all the numbers that I decorated

Positive brings positive and Negative brings negative

I was watching a news cast the other day and they were saying a happy person makes other people happy even people of the other people happy. So today I am going to e-mail or write to 10 people that I am grateful for and why. Hopefully I can spread more positive, happy, smiling feelings!!

3 more days till Christmas. Have a nice Saturday.

What do you do for the Christmas season?

This is a survey I decided to copy and answer here.

When do you put up the tree?
We put ours up sometime in December this year the 2nd week

How do you decorate?
Just the tree. Used to put out other items but the house is just to small now with kids.

Do you have any traditions.
Yes. Spending time and having dinner with the family

How do you wrap the presents?
In paper and "S" get a seprate kind of paper.

Do you buy a lot of presents or only a few if married with childern do you buy for each other?
We say were not going to buy so many presents but again to many this year. Yes we do buy for each other but, most the time we know what we are getting ahead of time.

When do you do you shopping? Are you all done before the season even starts?
I started the day after Thanksgiving.

How would you answer these questions? Have a nice day.

Christmas Shopping

The hubby and I went to Brainerd and got all the shopping done tonight. Thank God!! Now on to wrapping (tomorrow).

This year we scaled down who we were buying for and it made it so much more fun. Your not trying to figure out what to buy for someone that is one of these... hard to buy for, has everything, only likes/wants expensive items and your on a $20 a person budget, has no hobbies and of course the list could more than likely go on and on.

We get a babysitter go over and decide to go eat (like a real sit down get a dinner salad no fast food dinner) which by doing so made us late by like an hour and a half to picking up the kids we feel really bad about that but we got everything done and kind of had a date at the same time. Wow the life of a parent.

Boy is it snowing outside!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got up and went to church this morning and it was a very slow ride. I shoveled the deck before leaving 2 hours later when we came home there was twice as much drifted in front of the door.

It is looking like Christmas outside though it's just not Christmas if it's not white. Well I hope your enjoying your snowed in day. I will be addressing Christmas cards in my spare time today.

Christmas pictures in front of the tree.

Abby 15 Months

Emma 3 Years

I took some pictures of the girls and wanted to share them with all of you.

Driving Miss Emma

I go to an NA meeting every Wednesday night and on the way home last night Emma (3 year old) says "I tired Mom" so I say "I'm tired too lets just pull over and go to sleep" as I stop the car. She screams and yells in the back seat and says "I want to go home" which I reply "but I want to sleep". She got mad at me and tells me that Dad goes to work and I drive her around now lets go home. To see the world in the eyes of a 3 year old.

Favorite Christmas present as a child

All kinds of e-mails have been going around lately in survey style one of the questions on the survey are what was your favorite present as a child? How bad is to say I don't have one that sticks out in my head? My mom probley has an opinion on what my favorite was but I just don't. It may be because as I grew up I lived with other people at times besides my parents and when I went to live with these people very few items went with me so I did not have things I really attached myself to. I always had junk in my room at my parents house but was it all that important I have to say no. The items that went with me that meant something was pictures and still today pictures are very important to me I wonder if that is why I like to scrapbook so much.

To be a Blogger

I have thought of starting a blog for a very long time but just have not made the big leap well here it is. I want to post pictures and scrap pages and projects that I do. I want to reflect on crazy things in my head. We will see where this goes from here.
